I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
